Open aspectSeal Minor Breach
Touch a door, container, knot, latch, scroll, or simple mechanism. It becomes marked by a minor legal seal. A creature opening, altering, or moving it without your permission leaves visible glowing evidence for the duration.
Commanding Word
Speak one simple command to a creature you can see within range. The target must make a WIS save or subtract 1d4 from the next attack roll or ability check it makes before the start of your next turn if it disobeys the command.
Alarm
Ward a door, window, object, or area no larger than a 20-ft. cube. Until the effect ends, you are mentally alerted when a Tiny or larger creature enters or touches the warded area without permission.
Compel Compliance
Choose one creature you can see within range and state a simple lawful restriction, such as halt, drop that, or answer plainly. The target must make a WIS save or have disadvantage on the next d20 roll it makes before the start of your next turn if it violates the restriction.
Detect Violation
For the duration, you sense active curses, wards, contracts, bindings, magical prohibitions, and ongoing law-based powers in the emanation. You know the school or aspect of each effect, but not its full terms.
Binding Rebuke
When a creature you can see within range breaks a command, ward, oath, or stated restriction, it takes force damage equal to your WIS modifier plus your proficiency bonus.
Power Interdict
When a creature within range uses a power, force it to make a CON save. On a failed save, the power is interrupted and has no effect if its tier is 3 or lower. If the power is tier 4 or higher, you make a WIS check against DC 10 + the power’s tier to interrupt it.
Dispel Magic
Choose one creature, object, or magical effect within range. Ongoing powers of Tier 3 or lower on the target end. For each ongoing power of Tier 4 or higher, make a WIS check against DC 10 + that power’s tier, ending it on a success.
Glyph of Warding
Inscribe a glyph on a surface or object no larger than 10 ft. in diameter. Set a trigger. When triggered, the glyph either explodes in a 20-ft. radius for 23 (5d8) acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage on a failed DEX save, or releases one Tier 3 or lower power you know that targets a creature or area.
Magic Circle
Create a 10-ft. radius, 20-ft. tall cylinder. Choose Aberrations, Celestials, Elementals, Fey, Fiends, or Undead. Chosen creatures cannot willingly cross the boundary, have disadvantage on attacks against targets within it, and must make a CHA save to teleport or travel through it.
Planar Binding
Attempt to bind one Aberration, Celestial, Elemental, Fey, Fiend, or Undead that remains within range for the casting. It must make a CHA save or be bound to follow your commands for the duration, interpreting hostile commands as narrowly as possible.
Geas
Place a command on one creature that can understand you. The target must make a WIS save or be compelled for the duration. If it directly disobeys the command, it takes 27 (5d10) psychic damage once per day.

Current state: Thorne remains the legal center of gravity for Maine custody fallout and Gravenhurst courtroom pressure. Ideology: Procedure is civilization's defense against panic, even when procedure itself becomes a weapon. Alliances: The Lawful, courtroom officers, Captain Alara Vren's security structure, and institutional witnesses. Open hooks / secrets: Thorne may know which parts of the trial were legal necessity and which were political containment. His tolerance for Krane's testimony is a future pressure point. Changed recently: Maine's escape/reappearance and the Castro attack weakened the neat boundary between legal proceeding and battlefield emergency.
The second phase of Maine’s trial began with a Lawful psychoanalyst clinically questioning whether Maine should be considered responsible, a victim, unstable, a state asset, or a political liability. Maine tried to frame himself as more than an asset and pushed back against loaded questions, especially the proposed psychoanalysis or mind-probe that would read his brain for useful information.
storyAfter a brief recess, Maine meditated alone in the courtroom before the magistrate returned. The court ruled Maine would receive no punishment for Enemy’s murder and could not be fairly held or harvested because of the situation and Enemy’s own chances to make things right. The court still believed Maine lied about a Castro impersonating him and offered to drop the remaining charges if Maine admitted that. When asked if he killed Enemy with Power Word Kill, Maine answered that he did. Nora Rabe von Queef then entered and took Maine with her, saying they had things to work on.
storyThe trial front became a visible courtroom cutaway. Bones testified that he witnessed events through his zombies and believed Maine attacked him after a plan to protect construct/forge body parts was discussed. Maine cross-examined Bones and exposed limits in his direct knowledge.
storyDr. Malevolus Krane testified with open contempt, claiming he helped create Maine and that the voidling/Castro could not have copied the powers and equipment placed into him. Maine cross-examined Krane, pointing out Krane's personal benefit from Maine's imprisonment and the replicability of Maine's face, body, and hex name. Channing then testified that Maine was too limited to cast Power Word Kill and supported Maine's innocence.
storyAfter two months of downtime, the party returns to VQU for a festival-like New Centrum announcement under Queefdom branding.
storyA Lawful decree interrupts Zsa Zsa's performance, the party infiltrates the barracks, and Arthur opens a portal tied to rescuing Dallas's mother.

groupA post-Centrum magical law authority whose public face ranges from Gravenhurst checkpoint paperwork to Stormcall investigations, item registration, corpse-rights enforcement, containment response, and the new Queefdom election for a co-equal civilian official.
locationThe Queefdom is the South Aerovian state where VQU, Baron von Queef's new order, postal politics, noble estates, rural farms, and the broken Titian shell all press on the same map.
