Jericha in One Minute
Begin with the broadest public overview: the eras, the Void, magic, and the problem the present day inherited.
Jericha is a Void-shaped magical world whose current calendar begins with the Modern Binding, its creation at 0 M.B. Its many peoples are collectively Witchborn: distinct species joined by Common speech and an inborn Power that may awaken after a life trigger. Trade and gold opened the Golden Age; circulating magic helped ordinary people understand Powers, learn Aspects, and build the schools, jobs, and classes of the Knowledge Age. The Drakkuskan War led into the first Centrum's age of coordinated magic, portals, and resurrection. The Centrum fell, leaving the current Void Era to rebuild amid scarcity, dangerous relic economies, regional governments, and an uncertain attempt to create a new Centrum.

What Is a Witchborn?
Learn what Jericha means by Witchborn before character pages start using the word as if you already know it.
Witchborn is Jericha's collective word for its people, not the name of a single species. As different species settled in Jericha, the Void tainted or blessed them into a shared condition: Witchborn species speak Common and every Witchborn is born with a power that may become accessible only after a triggering experience.
