Marnie Rootbarrel

At Medusa’s Farm, Marnie heals what she can and shelters Meadowkin survivors. Her fungal magic lets her sense, cleanse and resist corruption, joining the patience of a naturalist to the resolve of a guardian. Calm and slow-spoken, she becomes immovable when threatened. Her care is protective rather than passive: the same person who offers shelter is prepared to defend the ground on which it depends.^[1]

Guardian of damaged ground

Marnie Rootbarrel, known as Mycelia, is a halfling spore druid and guardian of the Glow Pools. Broken bodies, strange fungi and arcane corruption find their way into the soil she guards. She was once a quiet naturalist and beet farmer with Barney Rootbarrel; after the Battle of VQU left mutation and Boost contamination spreading through the region, tending living things became a more forceful work of protection.^[2][1]
