Make Albert Invincible
Description
M.A.I. is both literal and grotesque: Make Albert Invincible. The program aimed to preserve Albert's dominance by creating bodies, hosts, variants, or cohorts capable of sustaining his void-enhanced consciousness and ideology.[3]
Prototype Zero
Description
Phase One tested a biologically enhanced Hexelf with void energy and pre-forged neural implants. The subject failed Albert's expectations, suffered identity and memory trauma, and remains a dangerous open thread if later story material confirms their current role.[4]
The M.A.I. Nine
Description
After the prototype failed, Krane rejected Albert's request for nine Albert-clone bodies and instead used nine captured Hexelves from the Timber Islands. The process included memory wipes, surgical and arcane enhancement, forged tech integration, void resonance cores, and alignment-coded emotional programming.[5]
Known Variant Leads
Description
Old records identify Arthur as M.A.I.L.N.—Make Albert Invincible Lawful Neutral—Tono as M.A.I.T.N., Maine as M.A.I.N.E., and ENEMY/ENEMI as M.A.I.C.E. Several other subjects remain unknown, presumed dead, hidden, or altered.[6]
Hidden Intentions
Description
Although Albert sanctioned the program, Krane appears to have modified it beyond Albert's full approval. Old notes suggest Krane may have imagined the M.A.I. Nine as replacements for Albert, not merely vessels or servants.[7]
