Red Ledger
A Red Ledger is a tracking device and personal oath between Krampus and the person who holds it. It records the requirements that holder commits to Krampus and helps the holder track their fulfillment.

Coerced signatures, impossible promises, and promises requiring another creature's consent are rejected. The Ledger never causes direct damage or forces self-harm.
Complete rules
A Red Ledger is a personal oath between Krampus and its willing holder. The holder writes one specific, achievable commitment and knowingly signs it. The Ledger visibly accepts clear terms or refuses ambiguous, impossible, or third-party-binding language. An accepted oath occupies the Ledger until completed. Failure creates a personalized nonlethal red mark: first a visible warning, then disadvantage on one narrow category of checks directly related to the broken oath, then loss of one Ledger-granted benefit chosen by Krampus. The burden ends when the holder fulfills an accepted amendment, completes the oath, or receives Krampus's release. The Ledger cannot bind, judge, or punish a third party.
