Once per long rest, force a creature within 30 ft to save or become frightened while seeing the face of someone it wronged or killed. Documented historical effect: Maine used the mask to cast Power Word Kill on ENEMI and lost 2 Intelligence to the mask’s curse. Exact eligibility, recharge, and remaining access to that effect are unresolved.
