Edge cases
If the thought identifies no actual destination or associated location, or transport is blocked by an effect that explicitly prevents it, the dose is consumed and nobody moves. It never transports unwilling creatures. It creates no automatic return route; the recorded return through a potion tube remains a separate story event. It gives no warning that an otherwise valid destination is dangerous.[1]
Complete rules
As an action, drink one dose while holding a destination in mind. The potion transports you and willing members of your party within 30 feet of you to that place or plane, carrying worn and carried equipment. An unwilling creature remains behind; no saving throw is required. Choose a specific place or plane. A thought of Chaos may resolve to a Chaos-associated battleground, as in Havyk's recorded use; this does not locate or summon Chaos or any other creature. Arrival is in the nearest open spaces that can accommodate the travelers together at the intended location. The dose is consumed. This is transport, not wish magic: it creates no creatures, objects, wealth, or changed events.[1]
