Magala
Magala, known as Fortune, was the oracle-headmistress of Von Queef University and one of Centrum’s most careful architects. Her precognition did not make her reckless; it made her patient, guiding fragile outcomes with the smallest possible pressure until history bent where it needed to. Wife to Nora Rabe von Queef and a central figure in VQU’s old order, Magala foresaw the collapse of Centrum and still remained long enough to face it. In the Battle at VQU, she gave her life to paralyze Albert Rallus and halt the disaster she had seen coming. Even dead, her hidden prophecies may still be moving pieces across the board.
Part of QUEST. During the Stormcall Tallyman fight, Ash suffered lasting mental/balance trauma tied to Wisdom checks and saves; later Solar and hag encounters worsened the injury into Wisdom/Charisma instability until Wish-level or equivalent intervention. Act 5 Aleklot’s Rest revealed Ash’s tentacle arm is not truly from the Aboleth: touching a Void Edge Blade showed Salvatore Mentali and Soldier discussing Oskar as a chosen vessel and Ash as an unstable piece. Al Ivers later produced a drawing of the tentacle-faced figure, and Ash bought a risky counterfeit fifth-level Scrying scroll.
