The way to Gertie's Forge was hidden inside a wedding.

Not a real wedding, or not only one. The Pink Pony Girls entered what seemed to be a haunted wedding house full of hags, zombie guests, ritual preparation, and a house that behaved like part of the threat. Whether it was a living hag-house or the body of the illusion hardly mattered once it began trying to keep them inside.

The wedding guests treated the party like expected arrivals.

The house did not stay polite.

The group tried to sneak through at first, but discovery turned the illusion into combat against the wedding party, the hags, and the house itself. Aunt Bertha, remembered through the image of Aunt Bertha and Granny Handjobs, appeared within the illusion as a huge old woman, tying the nightmare to familiar grotesque symbolism rather than random stage dressing.

When the party defeated the hags, the house, and the wedding illusion, the scene fell away.

Gertie's last major illusion had been hiding the route to her secret forge.

The victory cost them Nick Kremp.

The session ended not with celebration, but with the group giving Nick a proper burial outside Gertie's forge, then preparing to enter and rescue Dallas Dalton's mother, K'Zhara, along with the remaining fire djinni enslaved as embersmiths.

The illusion broke.

The grief stayed.
