The party followed bounty leads tied to a Medusa, dead Graven Scourge thugs, gnolls, petrified victims, Grimlocks, prisoners, and notes that named Rice Hands as a target. It could have become a simple monster hunt if the world had been interested in simple answers.

Havyk made sure it did not.

She asked X Grymmeye for help speaking with a Medusa and received a terrible bargain in return. The raven Chaos became her replacement eyes after pecking hers out, binding sight, pain, and guidance together in a way that would define her from then on.

When the party found Xalaethra, Havyk negotiated instead of killing.

That choice mattered. The farm did not become a trophy. It became an unresolved commune, a bargain, and a moral debt. Zsa Zsa was released, Rice Hands remained marked by bounty trouble, the Blue-Haired Girl mystery continued, and Xalaethra's own hidden debts and family ties stayed below the surface.

The party chose negotiation over monster-slaying.
