The Githyanki Prison Break

Victor was tired, injured, and outnumbered, but that never stopped him before. As the Githyanki guard led him away from his imprisoned companions, Victor worked his charm and learned the portal word K'thil. The information reached the party when the Gazer unwittingly repeated the guard's whispers. Inside the cell, the party searched, schemed, and found a small pouch with gold and an unidentified potion. They retrieved a single arrow with Mage Hand and discovered that the rat Mary Jane had been sent by Cynthia of the Wilds to guide them south to a hidden camp. Victor was dragged before K'rilith the Bloodscourge, who saw through his deception and knew he possessed the bracer, the key to summoning his dragon. Warriors forced Victor's arm onto the table, and with one swift motion, his right arm was severed. His dragon was gone. His arm was gone. The world went black. The group had no time to mourn. They were escorted out, retrieving their gear minus a few stolen relics, and left at the fortress gates in the cold wilderness. After a dangerous encounter with a polar bear and a painful fall for Jonah, Mary Jane led them into Cynthia's camp. Cynthia treated Victor's bleeding stump with strange herbs, turning it into a literal tree stump, and told the party the truth: this world is the Void Realm, the Lonely Islands; the Githyanki invaded Smiteclaw Village; they want dragons back; and if the party rescues Cynthia's missing husband Virgil, she will create a Teleportation Circle back to Jericha.
