Jixie Names the Powers Under New Goblin City
2026-05-14 / New Goblin City descent route
Jixie did not describe New Goblin City like a tourist map. He described it like someone who had learned which names could get him hurt. The Dimoggio Clan controlled the underdealings, the quiet bargains, the debts, the collections, and the kind of cargo that came chained in boxes. The Tech Runners stole supplies in and out of the city, making movement and scavenged infrastructure into their own power. The workers, especially the young ones, were treated as disposable and disliked even while the city depended on them. Everyone claimed loyalty to the Queen. That did not mean everyone obeyed the same people. Jixie also named the Emrites as the most dedicated religious faction currently causing trouble. That mattered because the Wingkin lead already pointed toward them. The party was not walking into a single enemy base. They were descending into a city of overlapping loyalties, public claims, hidden economies, and factional fear. Before the party reached Runner Landing, New Goblin City had become legible enough to be dangerous. Now they knew names. Names meant someone could answer back.
