Act 5 Episode 5 Session Notes

Event: This session continues from Nick’s suspicious Root Barrel Farm appearance. Orval Finkus gives a missing-dragonborn job, Nick fails several identity checks, the party rescues the Black Wingkin from Mortellus/Aria Vayne’s necromancer chapel, learns Gertie/Duskborn/mass-resurrection-scroll lore, returns one dragonborn, then encounters VQU students Zetch, Ellenthyra Mew, and Nell Quiv arguing over cave loot before heading toward the next dragonborn lead. Consequence: Act 5’s farm arc now has three layers: Nick’s possible fake/altered return, Orval Finkus’s morally gray dragonborn refuge/labor system, and Castro’s displaced dragonborn crisis. The Vayne chapel adds a separate but nearby necromancy/Gertie thread. Player Knowledge: Meta / Correction Canon Importance: High Future Hook: Next session should resume near the cave after a short rest with Zetch, Ellenthyra Mew, and Nell Quiv guiding the party toward the red/cave dragonborn lead. Track that Black Wingkin has been recovered; Nick remains unresolved.
