Jonah Worries What the Students Are Learning
2026-05-07 / Lower cavern / post-fight
After the bridge violence, Jonah did what he could still do cleanly. He healed people. Allies, students, whoever was close enough to stabilize after the fight. The action was simple. The example around it was not. My Alchemical Romance had dragged a group of younger VQU students through a rescue mission that now included ambushes, a collapsing nest, boost poisoning, spider bites, threats, Darkness, and a dead fleeing collector on a bridge. Jonah looked at that and worried aloud. The party was setting a terrible example. Elmyra disagreed in her own way. To her, the group had removed obstacles, gained information, and kept moving toward the objective. That was not failure. That was practical fieldwork. Jonah objected because they had attacked after receiving directions, and the students were watching every choice as if this was what experienced adventurers were supposed to become. The cave mission had turned into accidental mentorship. Not a clean lesson. Not a noble one. A real one.
