1Once the spiders were dead, New Goblin City finally started speaking in useful terms.
The goblin collectors did not thank the party for surviving. They blamed Elmyra's amplified command for waking the spiders in the first place, which was not exactly wrong and not exactly helpful. Then the more talkative ledger goblin gave the party something better than gratitude.
He gave them a map of the problem.
The collectors worked for Moe Dimoggio. The tortured goblin owed money. New Goblin City had three meaningful routes from this lower cavern: right toward the collectors' clan, left toward the Emrites, and center toward the lawless trade district.
That mattered because the missing Wingkin lead pointed left.
The Emrites treated Wingkin as signs of Emrys, maybe even as kings or next-coming figures. The center, meanwhile, was all goblin transaction with few limits: prostitution, limb-selling, and whatever else could become money if someone was desperate enough.
The cave rescue had become a city briefing.
The party now knew where to go, who might be waiting, and why every direction carried a price.
