Jonah and Elmyra Hold the Pit Together

The spider fight did not end because one person solved it.

It ended because the party kept catching itself before the pit could finish the job.

Jonah became the center of that survival. He moved along the ledges in his heely boots, healing the wounded with Mass Healing Word and Healing Word while still finding time to hit spiders hard enough with thunder hammer strikes to knock them down. Every spell bought seconds. Every second kept someone from becoming another body in the boost fumes.

Elmyra answered the same crisis with chaos and damage.

Her surge blessed herself, Vic, and Jonah, then she followed with Chromatic Orbs and Fire Bolts that helped tear through the remaining spiders. One critical hit rolled into momentum hard enough to earn an extra action under the table's chaos and rule-of-cool logic.

The victory was messy.

Morgan took a non-permanent injury that left her socially and magically shaken until rest or stronger restoration. The goblins helped in pieces. The party improvised through poison, falling bodies, and uncertain footing.

But the boosted phase spiders died.

For the first time since Jonah fell through the nest, the lower cavern gave them room to breathe, even if the air itself was still a problem.
