Zetch Jumps After Vic

Vic's rescue attempt turned into a death-watch almost immediately. Boost poisoning had already stripped him down, and the boosted phase spiders did the rest with teeth and venom. Their bites overwhelmed him in the lower cavern until he dropped to zero, unconscious in the same pit he had jumped into to help Jonah and Elmyra. He passed his first death save. That mattered, but not enough to make him safe. Zetch went after him anyway. The little rubber lunatic had already treated Vic like a launch system during the upper-cave fight, but this was different. The murderball joke became loyalty under pressure. Zetch leapt down into the boost pit despite the danger, landed badly, kept moving, and got a potion into Vic's mouth. Vic came back. No lasting overkill harm followed, and Zetch managed to avoid boost poisoning on his own save, but the moment changed their bit into something warmer and more dangerous. Zetch did not just like being thrown by Vic. He came when Vic fell.
