Morgan Lightning Bolts the Spider Pit

The boosted phase spiders did not fight like ordinary cave vermin. They teleported. They appeared around Vic, Morgan, Jonah, Hugo, and the goblins in sudden angles of teeth and poison. The bites hit hard enough to change the fight from rescue attempt to emergency triage. Every jaunt made the pit harder to control, and every hit reminded the party that these were boosted phase spiders, not void creatures, not normal beasts, and not something the group could safely ignore. Morgan entered the lower fight in the most Morgan way possible. She misty stepped down through the hole and lined up Lightning Bolt through multiple spiders while the party was still arguing over whether Vic was in the blast path. The spell gave the fight a hard answer, but it did not make her safe. Later, Morgan fought from low health as the spiders nearly dropped her. The pit punished commitment. It also demanded it. If the party wanted Jonah and Elmyra out alive, someone had to jump into the poison-lit mess and start making the spiders regret being visible.
