Elmyra tried to solve the immediate cruelty with volume.

She used Thaumaturgy to amplify her voice and command the goblins to put the captive safely back on the rock. It was a direct, authoritative move, the kind that might have worked if the lower cavern only contained goblins with a bad idea.

The cavern contained more than that.

The amplified sound drew the attention of seven additional boosted phase spiders below. The danger changed instantly. This was no longer just a negotiation over a captive, a shipment, or New Goblin City's rules. It became a boost-contaminated ecosystem reacting to noise, movement, and outsiders.

The spiders were altered by boost gas, not void-origin creatures, but that did not make them safer. They could teleport like phase spiders, and the interaction between fire, boost, and the pit remained unresolved.

The session ended with Jonah and Elmyra trapped below while the rest of the party remained above.

The missing Wingkin search had not ended.

It had been swallowed by a city, a pit, and the sound of spiders waking up.
