Act 5, Episode 4, Scene 45
Arthur Connects MAI to Malevolus Krane
2026-03-12 / Safe room
Arthur's answers did not stay small. He explained that the MAI experiments had been abandoned when Albert realized Malevolus Krane had been hoarding void energy and mishandling the project. That one explanation pulled a long chain tight: the Act 1 tower conflict, Magala and Nora, Albert killing Orlanda Spakovich, the Stormcall explosions tied to Dhaz's history, and Enemy murdering the lawful-good Maine variant. The safe room became a map of old damage. Malevolus Krane's hoarded void energy had not been a side detail. It had destabilized the MAI project and helped produce the clone fallout that still shaped Maine's life. Arthur's survival, too, had a specific shape: he lived because chronokinesis gave him enough control over time to evade Enemy. That made Arthur more than another variant rescued from the maze. He was a witness to the machinery behind Maine's trauma, the void experiments, and the disasters that kept echoing from Act 1 into the present. The story did not become simpler. It became more legible. For Maine, that may have been worse. Some mysteries are easier to survive before they have names.
