Morgan ran from the eye and found exactly the kind of puzzle Vithyrex wanted her to fail.

The hidden wall offered three bricks and a choice. Behind one brick was a heart piece. Behind another was a tempting unknown weapon. The maze framed it like a lesson: take one reward, lose the other, prove what you value under pressure.

Morgan did not accept the lesson.

Vithyrex tried to make the choice stick physically and psychically, but Morgan moved faster than the trap wanted her to. She beat the lure, stole the heart piece, stole the weapon, and taunted the god of temptation while doing it. The moment mattered because it was not only loot. It was a direct win against the maze's favorite kind of cruelty.

The weapon would later be identified as Dragon Claw, a +2 scythe.

The heart piece mattered even more.

Morgan had turned Vithyrex's own temptation test into a theft, and she was not humble about it. In a maze built to make people reveal their weaknesses, Morgan revealed one of her strengths: if the rules were unfair, she would rather rob the rules than obey them.
