Bertha Granderson Rattles Timonos

Morgan did what Morgan had learned to do inside the maze: she used the dead creatively. She re-summoned Granny Handjobs, now named Bertha Granderson, and tried to turn the undead companion into a distraction for Timonos Truthstriker. The plan was absurd on its face. That did not make it useless. Vithyrex's Maze had already made love, desire, jealousy, and violence into rules of combat. Morgan simply pushed those rules with the ugliest tool she had. Granny failed the physical approach. But failure still did something. The attempt rattled Timonos enough that his next axe swings were badly disrupted. He missed. He faltered. The joke landed as battlefield pressure, and Bertha became more than a disposable body Morgan dragged from fight to fight. She had a presence now: strange, limited, grotesque, and somehow effective. That was the important part. Morgan's necromancy was no longer only about damage or survival. It was becoming improvisational command, with Granny Handjobs as a recurring companion who could change the shape of a scene just by being placed in the wrong moment at exactly the right time.
