The next session resumed without pretending the maze had given anyone a clean pause.

Everyone was still inside Vithyrex's Maze. The party was scattered between Timonos Truthstriker, Arthur and the dragonborn, Jonah's new dragonborn allies, Vala Gearsprocket, Vic Vaurr, the roaming eye, and hidden prisoners still waiting behind doors the party had not opened yet. The whole place remained in active maze time, so everyone rerolled initiative.

That detail mattered.

The maze was no longer a linear dungeon with one room after another. It had become a pressure cooker. Heart pieces were in motion. Rescues were in motion. Rival prisoners were in motion. Castro-linked threats and old war scars were pressing into Vithyrex's love game from the sides.

Morgan was near death. Braska was dying. Timonos was charmed and violent. Jonah was with dragonborn. Maine and Ash were near Arthur. The map still had secrets.

The question was no longer only how to escape the maze.

It was how many unresolved loyalties could survive being trapped in it together.
