Jonah Feeds the Dragonborn

Jonah and Vala stepped through a blue portal and found hunger waiting on the other side. Two dragonborn were there, desperate enough to be dangerous and tired enough to negotiate. They had escaped something that was hunting them, and in a world still scarred by the Dracuscan War, simply finding dragonborn alive inside the maze mattered. They were not just random fighters. They were living evidence of another captivity thread pressing against Vithyrex's game. Jonah chose the softest tool available. He shared Vala's tuna sandwich. The gesture worked because it was small, practical, and human in a place designed to turn every need into a trap. The dragonborn agreed not to attack Jonah and Vala if they were fed and treated as allies. In return, Jonah learned they carried a heart piece and were being chased by a "god," a weird hexelf, and another unstable threat. Jonah's route now had its own temporary party: Vala Gearsprocket and two desperate dragonborn fighters. It also had its own heart-piece dilemma.
