Ash found a room full of bones, because Vithyrex's Maze was not done making every corridor feel like it had a private theory of loneliness.

The bones reassembled into a searching skeleton. Ash pointed it toward another lonely NPC, which was not quite mercy and not quite strategy. It was the kind of decision the maze kept manufacturing: move one broken thing toward another and hope the result becomes an answer.

Then Ash kicked through a wall.

On the other side, Braska was fleeing, and above the stairs stood the huge minotaur who had been haunting the heart-piece trail. Timonos Truthstriker had entered the scene directly, armed with his raving greataxe and the full weight of the maze's love, jealousy, and violence logic behind him.

Braska's missing heart piece was no longer just a clue from a wounded man.

It had a shape. It had horns. It had a weapon. And it had found them.
