Morgan Makes Renfield Explode

Morgan rejoined Maine and Ash by moving the way the maze had taught her to move: suddenly, violently, and with very little apology. She Misty Stepped into line of sight of Renfield Hoek's corpse and used Corpse Explosion for the first time. Renfield's body became a battlefield resource. The spell destroyed him to damage nearby enemies, turning a dead stranger into another piece of Morgan's survival economy. It was grotesque, useful, and completely consistent with the direction her necromancy had been taking since the cathedral. The first damage came out low enough that the table corrected it under rule of cool, because the moment deserved to land harder than the dice allowed. Then the cyclops closed on Ash and Morgan. The session ended at the top of the order, with Ash next in initiative and the enemy in their face. The maze had given the party one confirmed heart piece. Then it immediately demanded they survive long enough to keep it.
