Morgan found Braska the Red in the kind of condition that makes a room explain itself before anyone asks questions.

He was impaled by two horns, badly bleeding, and drunk or hurt enough that every useful sentence had to fight its way out. Braska was the leader of a Graven Scourge crew, which made him dangerous on paper, but in that hallway he was mostly a body trying not to become treasure.

He had information the party needed.

A crazed minotaur had slammed into him and stolen one of his heart pieces. That mattered because it was the first clear lead on the portal objective. Braska did not hand the party a confirmed heart piece. He pointed them toward the creature that had taken one.

Morgan stabilized him instead of fully healing him.

With medicine and pressure from Granny Handjobs, she kept him alive enough to be useful, leaving the rescue, loot, and trust questions open. The maze had offered another ugly little dilemma: a wounded enemy, a needed clue, and a missing heart somewhere deeper in the labyrinth.

The first heart lead was alive.

Barely.
