Maine Turns the Explosion Into a Case

Dhaz's accident stopped being only a wound when Maine heard enough of it.

Maine offered to help recreate or safely vary the experiment that caused the explosion, not recklessly, but with the method of someone who thinks in controlled permutations and paper trails. If the original technique should not have exploded, then the question was not only what Dhaz did wrong.

It was whether someone else had changed the experiment.

Maine connected Dhaz's Stormcall history to a wider pattern: Crane's labs in Stormcall, Point Pringle, and Gravenhurst. That placed Dhaz's injury near the same network of MAI and Crane-linked experimentation that had already scarred other parts of the party's lives.

The idea did not heal Dhaz.

It gave his loss a direction.
