Yuri made the offer as a bargain, but it landed like a trap.

The charges against Maine could go away if Dhaz came home. Not merely visited. Came home, resumed the red armor, and stood beside Yuri under a restored Pelosh family banner. Yuri framed the future in grand family terms: Pharaoh, Nightshade, and Andrea's luck-weaving legacy gathered into a single Pelosh power structure again.

It was everything Dhaz had been trying to step away from.

He had entered the cathedral without his father's armor, trying to define himself outside the old shape. Then the dungeon judged him unfinished, gave him no gift, and left him battered on the far side of a trial he had survived without being blessed.

Now Yuri offered a way to save Maine.

Dhaz accepted.

He told Maine he was doing it for him, then left through Yuri's portal to the Pelosh estate. The party lost him there, at least for now, not to death or defeat but to family pressure, legal leverage, and the painful logic of protecting someone else by surrendering himself.
