Lawful Waits at the Portal

The consequences were waiting exactly where the dungeon ended.

The party emerged onto the Lonely Islands shoreline with the unstable portal still open nearby, only to find Yuri Pelosh and two new Lawful Eyes waiting for them. They were called Stormcall Troopers, and their presence made the beach feel less like an exit than a checkpoint.

Yuri had been looking for Dhaz.

But the pressure did not stop with family. Yuri also turned Maine's history into a legal weapon, accusing him of harboring murder through both old Hexelf accusations and the fresh deaths of Raiders of the Lost Park members inside the cathedral.

Maine denied it.

He framed the Raider deaths as self-defense, which was not wrong in the simple tactical sense. The Raiders had attacked during the sentry fight. But Lawful did not treat the distinction as settled. To them, the old Genocide rumors and the new bodies formed a pattern worth acting on.

The party had escaped a corrupted divine ledger.

On the beach, another authority opened a different kind of account.
