Ash brought the Salvator thread out of private vision and into party knowledge. The pink-tentacled figure Al Ivers had drawn was not only the being from Ash's frozen corridor. Ash connected it to the old sea-side figure who had called to Kaya, though he framed that moment as a test rather than the real center of the plan. The explanation widened the problem. Salvator was not an Aboleth servant in the clean way Ash had once feared. He was studying how Albert manipulated the Void and challenged the Power Nine, using people like Ash as experimental pieces. That made Ash's tentacle arm less like a blessing, less like a destiny, and more like a research method with a person trapped inside it. Maine understood enough to make the comparison hurt. Ash's situation looked uncomfortably close to surviving MAI experimentation: someone powerful testing methods through damaged people and pretending the experiment's momentum was the subject's choice. The Adventurers Hall still had room for jokes. Fallout Bard members booed Ash for suggesting he might drink less. But beneath the noise, the party now had a shared name for the thing using him.
