Jonah reached for holy power inside a room built from corrupted holiness. When he struck one of the sentries with Life Burst, the cathedral answered him through memory instead of mercy. Seven Paragon voices rose inside his head. Paulus Levius was not among them, and that absence mattered as much as the chorus. The voices hurt. The psychic backlash made clear that Jonah's connection to Djeebus was not a clean key that opened every door in the cathedral. This place remembered authority. It remembered lineage. It remembered the difference between a faithful servant, a failed Paragon, and someone trying to act in Djeebus's name inside Paulus Levius's ruined system. Then one of the sentries turned that judgment on Ash. It called him an imposter and an invalid disciple of Djeebus before attacking. The words were not just insult. They suggested the constructs could weigh legitimacy, or at least enforce the cathedral's broken version of it. The fight was no longer only about stolen relics. It was about who had the right to stand in a holy place after holiness had been sold.
