Dhaz approached the offering door from the angle Jonah could not.

Jonah had given the door a true prayer. Dhaz did not have Jonah's faith, but he did have precision, invention, and a willingness to build his way toward the shape of a thing he did not fully share. So he made a Djeebus cardinal trinket with Jonah's recorded prayer inside it.

It was not devotion in the pure sense.

It was an emulation of devotion, carefully assembled from craft, voice, and respect for the mechanism in front of him. The cathedral accepted it well enough. Dhaz passed the door without damage, proving that his imitation could satisfy the system even if it did not carry the same spiritual weight as Jonah's hand-carved offering.

Morgan's infestation offering was accepted too, though without Jonah's blessing.

The moment left a future idea in the air. Dhaz imagined talking or singing cardinals, maybe even a Djeebus podcast-style device, and Jonah invited him to collaborate in the forge.

Faith had opened the door.

Invention had found a way to follow.
