The illegal void dungeon scroll worked.

It did not send the party neatly into the past, and it did not feel like stepping sideways into a clean alternate timeline. The distinction mattered. The scroll reached a place displaced by the Void: isolated, lost, and cut off from normal recordkeeping. Exactly the kind of place where loot could remain unregistered because the world had misplaced the room it came from.

The party arrived on a seaside causeway.

Ahead of them, an abandoned cathedral rose from rock above violent surf. The sea battered the path, the architecture stood apart from ordinary travel, and the whole place felt like a religious site that had been pulled out of its own context and left to weather in the wrong layer of reality.

Dhaz had returned without his father's armor.

He chose his own look, keeping his normal gear and prosthetics rather than carrying the Pelosh colors into the scroll's first trial. That choice made the arrival feel like a line crossed in more than one way.
