Yuri Shows Up in Pelosh Colors

Dhaz found his father near the fire, exactly the kind of public place where private family tension becomes harder to hide. Yuri Pelosh was enjoying free event food and talking with a Lawful woman when Dhaz approached. He greeted Dhaz warmly, hugged him, and bragged about his son's Barrel armor with the easy pride of someone who did not have to wear the weight of that pride every day. The Lawful woman noticed the colors too. She asked whether Dhaz enjoyed wearing his father's colors. Dhaz answered honestly enough: the armor kept him alive, but he did not really enjoy the colors. That answer held the whole problem in miniature. The gift was useful. The legacy was visible. Neither made the identity feel entirely his. Yuri explained why he was there. He was attending as a retiring member of the old Centrum Security Forces, present for the new team's announcement and the institutional handoff it represented. For the crowd, Yuri was legacy. For Dhaz, he was father, pressure, absence, protection, and public expectation all in one booming package. The amphitheater was not done with them yet.
