The road beyond Bearfell had barely settled before the caravan was forced off course by royalty on a motorbike.

Baba Snout and Ziki Snout arrived with magical polar bear force and a question the party was not ready to answer cleanly: where was Princess Hummus Snout?

The party knew her by a smaller name.

Once kept by Nick Kremp, the polar bear cub had lived in the campaign as a companion, a joke, a problem, and one of those strange details that felt like it might always stay small. Baba and Ziki made it larger immediately. PB was not only a cub. She was connected to Svalbard royalty, to General Falafel Snout's wider continuity, and to a family that believed My Alchemical Romance had stolen or misplaced her.

They demanded news.

The best memory the group had was that PB had been handed to IJ during PP3's funeral, which meant the answer was not on the road in front of them. It was somewhere behind them, tangled in Point Pringle, old chaos, and the strange afterlife of every responsibility the group had passed along during crisis.

Baba left with insults rather than resolution, including one aimed at Oskar's mother.

But the encounter changed PB's place in the story. She was no longer just a former animal companion thread.

She was a diplomatic problem with teeth, lineage, and a family looking for her.
