Ash had seen enough to know the figure was real. Explaining that to everyone else was harder. He tried to describe the tentacle-faced being from the frozen corridor, but the party struggled to turn his words into something useful. The more Ash insisted, the easier it became for the room to treat the story like stress, hallucination, or another private Ash problem that sounded impossible until it hurt someone. So Ash bought clarity. He paid Al Ivers fifty gold to turn the crude description into an actual image: a suited, bald figure with black eyes, pink hands, and tendrils hanging from its face. The result did what Ash's explanation could not. It made Salvator visible enough to show, search for, and ask about. The drawing did not solve the mystery. It changed its category. Salvator was no longer only something Ash saw when time stopped or pink residue flickered at the edge of perception. Salvator became an investigative lead the party could carry in their hands.
