Corin Audits the Dragon Loot

The official arrived with truth already in the room.

Corin Scorn Slatebadge, a level-five Lawful administrator, entered the Aleklotson Inn suite under Zone of Truth and required the party to lay out what they had recovered. It was not a fight, but it had the same shape as one: pressure, positioning, weak saves, and the problem of who could still lie when the spell settled over them.

Maine, Ash, and Jonah resisted the magic.

Morgan and Dhaz could not.

The group declared most of the loot, paid the attunement and levy fees, and gave Corin enough structure to satisfy the audit. But the Ring of Absorption stayed hidden. When the question of a ring came up, the party maneuvered around it by presenting Ash's Steady Step Band as the recovered ring instead.

The move worked.

For now.

The record said one thing. The cache had contained another. If QUEST or Lawful ever compares the paperwork against the real contents of Victor's cache, the victory in the suite may become evidence.
