Void Blades in the Dragon Lair

The lair fight split immediately into two disasters.

The dragon was real, breathing poison and demanding attention. The Voiling command unit was just as dangerous in a different way, stepping through void-touched angles of the battlefield and striking with blades that carried force beyond steel.

Ash opened at range with his tentacle, lashing the Voiling General before the enemy could become only someone else's problem. Maine twinned Witch Bolt onto both the general and the dragon, trying to bind the two threats in one line of pressure. When the dragon almost tore a critical opening through Oskar, Maine's defensive instincts kept the blow from becoming worse.

Morgan sent her dead forward.

The dragon-grafted zombies attacked with dragon breath and bludgeons, answering the lair's body horror with their own repurposed bodies. Dhaz tested lightning. Oskar kept the dragon's attention where he could, absorbing the kind of threat no one else wanted centered on them.

Nothing in the room behaved like a normal dungeon boss.

The dragon brought myth back into the world. The Voiling forces brought command, portals, and void-edged discipline. The party had walked into a lair and found a battlefield with two masters.
