As the party continues, Kaya sees a figure she recognizes and her vision goes black. Instead of her friends, she sees Salvatore Mentali, an octopus-like figure, who tries to shake her hand. Kaya refuses. Salvatore tells her to turn around; two portals appear, and Kaya chooses the one in front of her, returning to the group. Four giant frogs appear as the floor becomes wet and initiative begins. The group kills the frogs. Kuzon / Hollow appears, Salvatore becomes enraged, Kuzon attacks, and Salvatore disappears.

Kaya’s personal Kuzon/Hollow thread moves from rumor to direct confrontation. Salvatore’s claim becomes openly hostile after the party kills the frogs, but Kuzon’s appearance and attack disrupt Salvatore’s intimidation attempt.
