Festival Under a Silence Bubble

The central quad looked like a campus showing itself off.

Powered students demonstrated what the New Centrum era wanted people to see: rainbow bursts, sand clones, alchemy stations, strange necromantic oddities, and the curated weirdness of a university trying to turn danger into recruitment. The First Five moved through that atmosphere as symbols before they were fully people to most of the crowd.

But the celebration had a second sound.

Or rather, a place where sound should have been.

A protest cluster gathered under a silence bubble, visible but muted, present but contained. They did not need to overwhelm the festival to change its meaning. Their existence was enough. VQU's new order had supporters, spectacle, and student power on display, but it also had dissent close enough to see.

That tension became the true texture of the scene.

A girl spoke to a floating femur. Sand copies moved through the quad. Rainbow magic flashed where people could cheer for it. Behind the bubble, protestors muttered in a pocket of controlled quiet.

New VQU was not empty propaganda.

It was alive, crowded, unstable, and politically split. The New Centrum had not arrived in a blank world. It had arrived on a campus where every demonstration could be read as hope, warning, advertisement, or evidence, depending on who was watching.
