Grease Tooth's Bombers

The party was almost ready to head back for dinner when violence entered Dinkle's.

Two goblins rushed into the pastry shop, threw open their cloaks, and revealed bombs strapped to their chests. They shouted in Goblin, but no one in the room understood the words before the first explosions tore through the shop.

The building survived only because Point Pringle still knew how to enchant its public spaces against disaster. The inside was not so lucky. Pies, furniture, rubble, and panic filled the room.

Then two more goblins came in.

Their bombs were still ticking, but this pair drew knives first. Dhaz reached for cover and fired, already carrying more history with explosions than anyone should have to carry. Ash moved faster than the room could organize itself. He rushed the attackers, striking one down even as its bomb clicked and detonated against him.

The last bomber could have turned the wreckage into another blast zone.

Ash used the pull of his Aboleth-touched power to force the goblin away, shoving it into a corner before it exploded. The blast still hit the room, but it did not tear through the party the way it could have.

When the smoke cleared, Dinkle's was wrecked but standing.

A stranger cursed the name behind the attack: Grease Tooth.

The Stormcall mission had not even begun, and already the Ex Force had been dragged into Point Pringle's local violence. The city was not only fading. It was being targeted.
