1The Exiles had been hunting Grease Tooth's network from the inside of the city.
Rahab revealed the map: red threads stretched across the wall around Point Pringle, marking caves, routes, suspected workshops, and the places the goblins had used to build and move their explosives. Four lairs had been identified. Two had already been cleared.
Two remained.
PP5 laid a grease-stained tactical map across the low table and pinned its corners with whatever he had at hand: a half-melted spoon, a crisp tin, a silk pin, and a small weighted sheep. The plan was practical and urgent. The Exiles would take the cave system beneath the outer quarry line: tight corners, fewer people, better suited to PP5, Rahab, Araspinn, Maple, and their scrappier team.
The Ex Force would take the temple.
South of the grainworks stood an abandoned Emrysian shrine, old Dragonborn stonework long out of use. It was one of Grease Tooth's remaining bomb-making sites and possibly the largest. If Grease Tooth was there, they might catch him. If he was not, they could still destroy the bombs, recover information, and keep the next attack from happening inside town.
Maine asked the practical questions.
How many bombs? How close to civilians? What happened if the whole site went up? PP5 could not promise safety, but that was exactly why the temple mattered. An explosion outside town was still a disaster. An explosion inside Point Pringle was worse.
Jonah asked about the mechanism. PP5 admitted they had rarely seen the bombs before they detonated, but death triggers and manual buttons seemed likely. That made the party's own tools dangerous too. Fire could solve things. Fire could also make the whole place vanish.
No temple schematics existed.
The plan was simple because it had to be. Hit the temple. Stop the workshop. Gather anything useful. Return to the safehouse before night closed around whatever survived.
