Act 2, Episode 6, Scene 7
Victor in the Viewing Room
2025-03-13 / Surviving Survivor Lee elimination chamber / void viewing room
Victor Shaw was voted out, but the game did not release him. The arena erased him from the contestants' field and dropped him somewhere worse: a round void chamber, strapped into machinery that held him in place. His body was restrained. His eyes were forced open. In front of him, a screen showed the game continuing without him. Elimination was not escape. It was another kind of captivity. Victor had been removed from play and turned into an audience member against his will, forced to watch the same show that had trapped the others. The lesson was clean, cruel, and impossible to misunderstand. The Game Master Spectacle did not waste people. It repurposed them. Back with the remaining contestants, the session's prizes were counted and handed out. Nick received a clockwork item. Ash received a talking doll, the kind of prize that sounded harmless until one remembered where it came from. The rewards were real, but they did not soften the ending. Victor was gone from the field. The prisoners were still above the arena. The game would continue.
