Act 2, Episode 6, Scene 5
The Obstacle Course Wants a Show
2025-03-13 / Surviving Survivor Lee obstacle course
Round two changed the game without making it kinder. The contestants were sent into an obstacle course built from platforms, ladders, buried prize holes, and enormous conjured hands waiting to swat or crush anyone who misjudged the route. The goal sounded simple: cross the course, dig up prizes, bank them at the finish, and repeat if there was time. Simple rules did not make it safe. Nick turned speed into strategy. With Haste carrying him across the course, he dug up gold, scrolls, potions, and minor prizes while trying to stay ahead of the arena's reach. Ash treated the layout like a challenge made for his body, using speed and momentum to clear ground and bring back loot. Jonah found heavy gold and kept trying to keep the party alive, even when the game punished healing as interference. Maine made the round personal. Araspinn was not just another contestant; she was a problem. Maine used telekinetic force to knock her from the course, buying space for the group and proving that sabotage was not limited to the enemies. Araspinn answered in kind, using webbing and movement magic to harass the competitors and make the route worse for anyone who crossed her. Victor tried to use Misty Step to cheat distance and survived a brutal hit from a clenched magical hand. Dhaz fought through falls, restarts, and the arena's appetite for embarrassment. Nobody moved through the course cleanly. Every leap, dig, and return trip became part of the show. By the end, the standings had shifted again. Gold and prizes mattered, but the deeper truth mattered more: Trixie's game was not one contest. It was a machine for changing pressure. One round rewarded violence and scavenging. The next rewarded speed, risk, and betrayal. The same prisoners still hung above them, and the next vote was already waiting.
