# **Act 1 — Episode 5 — Scene 4** _Portkey Discovery_ --- **[NARRATION]** The silence after Orlandus’s fall was not peace — it was the silence of an open grave. The group stood among wreckage, scattered Forged parts cooling in the dust, the metallic scent of void energy still biting at the air. Eveline’s breathing was ragged, her wolf-form receding into something more human, though her eyes stayed the same: golden, feral, searching for the next threat. Then the body twitched. Once. Twice. Again. The clatter of loose plating against the flagstones was louder in the quiet than it should have been. The group shifted weapons into ready position — unsure if the Forged frame was about to rise, self-detonate, or due to the scope of chaos magic; quite literally anything thatthey could imagine. --- **MAINE** (tense) Nobody touch it. --- **[NARRATION]** Victor ignored him. He knelt beside the metallic corpse, brushing away fractured armor until his fingers caught on something — a small, humming device embedded at the base of the neck. It pulsed faintly, the glow moving in spirals, like water down a drain. --- **VICTOR** (grinning) Well, hello there… --- **[NARRATION]** He pried it loose. The hum grew louder in his palm, deepening into a vibration that set his teeth on edge. --- **VICTOR** Portkey. These beauties can send you straight into a pre-set spot in the Void Realm… or the Lonely Islands, if you’re like me and prefer a more poetic name. --- **[NARRATION]** The others exchanged a look — all caution and suspicion — but Victor only smiled wider, the expression leaning toward dangerous. --- **MAINE** We need to think about this— --- **VICTOR** (cutting in, light) Honestly? Never been great at thinking. Running, though? I’m brilliant at running. --- **[NARRATION]** He twisted the device, and the air before him bent inward with a sound like glass folding in on itself. Black and blue light poured outward, carving a doorway into nothing. Without waiting for an answer, Victor stepped through. The portal shuddered behind him.
