The faith of fire, ash, and the necessary end
Pyronism is the Jerichan faith tradition devoted to Ewig, the Eternal Flame. It names death, rebirth, transformation, grief, and the necessary surrender of fixed things that can no longer remain unchanged.
Power
Death, rebirth, transformation, ash, and release.
Ewig is the flame of transition: the old body becoming ash, grief becoming wisdom, and the self that must die so another self can live. Ewig does not promise gentle change, only that nothing remains unchanged forever.
Doctrine
A name, grief, sin, home, addiction, title, kingdom, body, or belief may need to be surrendered before transformation can begin. Death is a sacred threshold rather than failure.
Practice
Pyronist rites include Fire-Walking, Ash Rituals, Phoenix Cycles of fasting and isolation, sacred cremation, and the deliberate release of old attachments.
Sects
Major branches include Traditional Pyronists, Fire Monks, the Ashen Sect, Burned Ones, Radical Purifiers, and Phoenix Warlocks.
Modern
Pyronism is spreading among refugees, veterans, former prisoners, and ruined communities. Some help communities grieve and rebuild; others preach that Jericha itself must burn before it can be reborn.
