Steps-Between is a masterwork blacksteel falchion with a narrow channel cut along its fuller. A Rift Crystal is bound into the guard, where it appears to occupy several slightly different positions at once, and the edge briefly vanishes when swung. After a successful defensive reaction or parry, the wielder can pass through or reposition around the attacking creature. Its awakened Rift Echo leaves a delayed phantom slash that repeats part of the original attack.
