Overview
An attuned wearer can catch certain spells aimed solely at them in the Ring of Absorption, preventing those spells from affecting them and storing them for later casting. The ring can absorb only a limited total amount of magic over its lifetime; once that limit is reached, it becomes nonmagical.[1]
Recorded rules
Reaction: when a spell of 3rd level or lower targets only you, absorb it so the spell has no effect on you and its level is stored in the ring. The ring can store up to 50 total spell levels over its lifetime, then becomes nonmagical. You can cast a stored spell using its original level, save DC, attack bonus, and casting stat, reducing stored levels by the spell's level. It cannot absorb spells above 3rd level or broad area effects unless you are the sole target.[1]
