Lucian Vale, known as Vale, is a human Witchborn rogue and disgraced noble scion from the faded Vale line of Equinox Vale. With little wealth left behind his name, he sought purpose in the Abyss, where hierarchy offered the relevance his family no longer could. At Baron von Queef’s Masquerade, Lucian used short-duration invisibility to assassinate Bon von Bovi in an attempt to frame Timberlake von Queef, but was exposed by Nick Kremp and Lady Marnette Duskshade. Prison did not reform him. It refined him into a human supremacist agitator whose rhetoric now spreads along the Queefdom’s outskirts like a quieter kind of Violince.

The Vale family of Equinox Vale were a noble family in the Scholar Era that had soon separated and became more of a name lost to history and the name more associated to the Temple in Equinox Vale, then the Vale family themselves. Although technically raised as a noble, by the time Lucian reached adulthood and the end of the Centrum era, there were essentially no funds or capital for him to build off of. Having to use what skills and what was left of his family name, he left for the Queefdom and joined ranks with the Abyss. He was present at the Masquerade part of Baron von Queef as a representative of the Abyss and was found guilty of murdering Bon von Bovi at the party in an attempt to frame Timberlake von Queef. Although believed to be an Abyss plot; Lucian was exiled from the organization immediately and was imprisoned
